Indicative: campus agri roles ₹3–7 LPA; bank agri officers and NABARD ₹8–14 LPA; agri-tech and food companies ₹5–15 LPA with experience.

Typical path in India
- 1Class 12 PCB or PCM depending on the programme.
- 2CUET (ICAR-UG) for ICAR universities; state agri CETs and CUET UG as well.
- 3B.Sc (Hons) Agriculture (4 years); intern at a KVK / agri-company.
- 4Then: agri officer exams, NABARD, MBA agri-business, or M.Sc / ICAR JRF.
Skills that matter
- Biology plus comfort with field work
- Basic data (yields, costs, weather)
- Willingness to work outside metros

Watch-outs
- ICAR AIEEA UG as a separate exam is discontinued — UG agri is largely CUET-based now.
- Rural postings are common in government agri roles; know that before you choose it ‘for stability’.
